Edward Snowden who became whistle blower U.S. intelligence espionage nominated for the Nobel peace prize in 2014. Two members of the Norwegian parliament who introduced it as nominations revealed, Snowden has made an important contribution in restoring the balance between the legitimacy of the state of the security and intelligence for the benefit of society as individual freedom.

Snowden will be joined by a number of names nominated for the award. All the people around the world , governments, parliaments, members of international courts, professors and Nobel Prize winners previously could ask candidates for the award.

While in the U.S. country of origin Snwoden, many debate whether former NSA contractor who is now gaining asylum in Russia and hunted by the U.S. government under the statute intelligence may be regarded as a hero or a traitor.

Professor Snowden Sweden ever filed name for the Nobel Prize last year, shortly after reports leaked intelligence documents circulating. At that time the British newspaper Daily Mail reported that, Stefan Svallfors Umea University sociology professor stated, Snowden victory will make the Nobel peace prize regain its credibility after the awards are too premature to U.S. president Barrack Obama.

Foreign Policy magazine also put Stanford in the first rank in the list of Leading Global Thinkers of 2013. He finished second after Pope Francis as Person of the Year.

Nobel peace prize awarded to a person who has devoted his life and best efforts to unite the various nations, the abolition or reduce the use of the military and for the organizers as well as those who continue suggested a world of peace.
