AMD intends to offer APU just for Gamers
Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ) is considering to no longer provide any type of CPU chip for gaming machines and transfer it in the Accelerated Processing Unit ( APU ) that integrate core CPU graph .

AMD FX chips have been sold in recent years which are the fastest chip that is not equipped with an integrated graphics processor. The chips are very popular among gamers and enthusiasts overclock, then use a separate graphics card to build a high-end gaming machines.

Benrd Lienhard, vice president of the corporation at the same time the client business unit general manager of AMD revealed that AMD's strategy with a high level of integration now turning on the APU chip that utilizes the sophistication of the CPU and graphics cores integrated on single silicon.

Lienhard added, this does not mean that FX chip line will be abandoned, but the company has been in the world of the APU. AMD FX chips are now getting older, because it was made based on Piledriver CPU cores. According to AMD's product roadmap, the chip will not get the upgrade this year.

The APU is used for mainstream desktops, laptops and various other PCs which most do not require a discrete graphics card. This week the company introduced the newest chip for PC -based APU cores steamroller codenamed Kaveri and is the successor of the Piledriver.

According to Lienhard, the next it will build a more powerful APU and Kaveri and upcoming APU will ultimately be transferred to high-end PC and gamers. While discrete graphics cards can still be fitted to obtain a better gaming experience.
