Satya Nadella Microsoft New CEO

Microsoft has finally announced a technology company Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who will be the captain of the software company, on Tuesday (04/02/2014). The new CEO is Satya Nadella, the former head of Microsoft's cloud computing business unit.

Announcements rising Nadella as CEO of Microsoft delivered through the company’s official Twitter account. “Introducing our new CEO, Satya Nadella, " wrote Microsoft Twitter account.

Nadella is the third CEO in the company's 39-year history of Microsoft, after Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer.

On this occasion, Microsoft also announced that the founder, Bill Gates, chairman resigns. However, Gates will remain a technology adviser.

The position will be filled by the next chairman John Thompson, who previously was an independent director of Microsoft.

Announcement for Nadella as a CEO is faster than the targeted time. Microsoft's previous CEO, Steve Ballmer, scheduled to end his retirement in August 2014.

Nadella was born in Hyderabad, India, in 1967. He has worked for Microsoft for 22 years, since 1992. His name is credited as one of those who develop various Microsoft services, including Azure.

Before working on Microsoft, Nadella has worked for Sun Microsystems.
