Gmail was down, It's Google's explanation
Google's essential services, such as Gmail, Google Plus, Calendar, and Docs, had trouble on Saturday night (01/24/2014). As a result of these problems, the service could not be accessed by users for the time being.

Google's own party already spoke about the issue. According to Ben Treynor, Google's VP of Engineering, the company's official blog, the main causes of the problem comes from a bug or “ticks “on the internal software.

The bugs make data requests by users are ignored by the system, and Google services that have been mentioned earlier to error.

“Internal system that generates configuration information - essentially tell other systems to meet a submissive - bug in the software and start generating configurations is wrong, “Treynor wrote.

" Incorrect configuration is sent to the service live for the next 15 minutes , causing the user to query the data they are ignored , and the service , in turn , in an error , " said Treynor .

According to Google, about 10 percent of users affected by this issue. The duration of each user seems to vary from 30 minutes to 1 hour. Due to the disorder, Google also apologized.

"Whether the effect is short or lasts for one hour, please accept our apologies,” Treynor said.

Currently all the services are normal again.
