Fortinet believes at the same time, most hackers meeting slit store they know and then try to sell it as support for the OS ends, as an effort to gain the advantage of vulnerabilities that they find in Windows XP.

Fortinet predicts next year, hackers are in a position of zero day exploits and will wait for sell to the highest bidder, due to expected high price of this zero day exploited to launch attacks targeting high-value businesses and individuals, who do not like the usual cyber criminals who deploy mass infection.

At that time, according to data calculations StatCounter, Windows XP still possess more than 30 percent of computers worldwide, or about 19 percent of the desktop PC.

Since Windows XP remains the second most popular operating system in the market, Microsoft faces a major challenge to redirect users to the new platform. Not only because XP becomes very vulnerable to attack, but also because the company had to increase the market share of Windows 8.1.
