Users Mobile Devices Reach 9.3 Billion in 2019

Ericsson Mobile Report revealed that the number of mobile devices in the world will reach 9.3 billion by 2019, including mobile phones and tablet computers. 60 percent of them are about 5.3 billion smart mobile devices (smartphone). While in the third quarter of 2013, there were 6.6 million users of mobile devices in the world.

The rapid growth of smart phones is phenomenal and that trend will continue.  It took more than five years to reach the number one billion users. But, in the future was not until two years there will be as many as two billion user growth

Smartphone growth trend was driven by the higher production of cheap phones that do China and other developing countries. It is estimated that there will be more new smart phones that have sprung up.

Now the number of smart mobile devices totaled 1.9 billion, but in the year 2019, the number could increase to 5.6 billion worldwide.

Ericsson also found that the trend of the telecommunications network in the year 2019 was dominated by GSM / EDGE, WCDMA / HSDPA, and LTE.  The CMDA users will be reduced. The total coverage area of GSM / EDGE in the world will reach 90 percent, so any WCDMA / HSDPA, and LTE reach 65 percent.

The latest edition of the Mobile Report Ericsson also said Internet data traffic through smart phones will grow as much as 10-fold by the year 2013 until 2019. Growth reaches 10 Exabyte, or 10,240 petabytes. Traffic growth was fueled by the increasing number of access to video content, applications, browsing, and social networking. Every year video content grew by 55 percent and represent more than 50 percent of mobile data traffic. Meanwhile, social networking and Web sites only 10 percent by 2019. A survey conducted by Ericsson Mobile Report is taken from Internet users around the world.
