Samsung Develops Smartphone Camera 20MP - Samsung reportedly is preparing a 20 megapixel camera that will eventually be used on the Galaxy software products company. According to Korean news site ET News, a more powerful camera that is currently being developed and will be ready by the second half of 2014.

Samsung Galaxy S4 use 13 megapixel cameras, just like the Galaxy Note 3. Although Samsung has not made any announcements latest rumor, 16 megapixel camera will culminate in products next -generation flagship Smartphone Samsung Galaxy S5.  So the 20 megapixel camera will likely land in the Galaxy S6 or whatever the name will be revealed and Samsung at the end of 2014 or early 2015.

Samsung is pioneering the development of the Smartphone’s camera. The company has switched from 8 megapixels to 13 megapixels which later became the industry standard. Sources told the site also revealed, after 16 megapixel products then 20 megapixel products will soon be a trend.

Smartphone's camera with the highest resolution is still held by the products of Nokia. The company in July announced the Lumia 1020, Windows Phone 8 handset with 41 megapixel camera is equipped with an optical image stabilizer, 6 Zeiss optics lens design, manual shutter and Xenon flash.  Lumia 1020 capable of producing 34 megapixel image files and capable of recording 1080p HD video and enables 4x zoom without quality is reduced a bit.

While the IFA event in September, Sony announced the Xperia Z1 is equipped with a 20 megapixel camera.
